Is the Mercedes-Benz E-Class a Good Car?
Yes, the E-Class is an excellent car. From its quality materials to its state-of-the-art technology, this Mercedes-Benz has one of the finest cabins in the luxury midsize car class. The seats are splendidly comfortable, though this isn't one of the roomiest cars around. Its driving dynamics create a nice balance between laid-back cruising and enthusiastic maneuvering, complemented by a lineup of compelling powertrains. Safety is also one of the E-Class’ highlights, as it boasts good safety ratings and a remarkable list of standard and available safety features.
Shoppers have an array of options to choose from in an E-Class. There are four engines and body styles available, including a four-door sedan, a two-door coupe, a soft-top cabriolet, and a seven-seat wagon. Should I Buy a New or Used Mercedes-Benz E-Class?
Mercedes has made only minor changes to the E-Class since launching the current generation for the 2017 model year. Note that the redesigned coupe and cabriolet models didn't appear until the 2018 model year. For 2019, Mercedes replaced the E 400 and AMG E 43 with the more powerful E 450 and AMG E 53 trims. If these two new E-Class models don't interest you, we recommend shopping for a used model instead, which would likely cost less and get you a nearly identical car to the 2019 models.
